No-bake Oreo Cheesecake

This recipe was adapted from Nino’s Home on YouTube! I tweaked it and here’s my take on the No-Bake Oreo Cheesecake!

This recipe makes one cake.

Ingredients:

Cookie Base:

  • 14 Oreo Cookies (オレオ)
  • 40g Melted butter (溶かしバター)

Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 4g Gelatin (ゼラチンパウダー)
  • 20ml cold water (水)
  • 200g Creamcheese (クリームチーズ)
  • 25g Sugar (グラニュー糖)
  • Hot water (お湯)
  • 200g Whipping cream (生クリーム)
  • Oreo Cookie (オレオ)

Finishing Touches

  • 20g Crushed Oreo (砕いたオレオ)

Instructions:

Cookie Base:

  1. Remove the filling from 14 oreo cookies and set aside.
  2. Crush the oreo cookies.
  3. Add melted butter to the crushed cookies and combine them.
  4. Transfer combined mixture into a pan and flatten it to form the cake base.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.

Cream Cheese Filling:

  1. Add the cold water to the gelatine, and let it rest for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, break up your cream cheese, otherwise, the filling will be chunky.
  3. Add the oreo cream and sugar into the cream cheese, and whisk till smooth.
  4. By then, the gelatine should have been well-rested, and it’s time to melt it.
  5. Add hot water into a container and place the bowl of gelatine mixture inside and stir continuously while it melts.
  6. Once melted, let it cool slightly before adding it into your cream cheese mixture.
  7. Whisk everything till smooth and well combined.
  8. In a separate bowl, whisk the whipping cream until it thickens slightly. (Don’t whip too much or it might separate when combined with the cheese mixture)
  9. Thereafter, transfer the whipping cream into your cream cheese mixture and mix gently until combined.
  10. When the mixture becomes smooth and thick, transfer half into the pan with your cookie base.
  11. Smoothen this layer of cheese mixture and add in your full oreos!
  12. Add the remaining mixture above and likewise, smoothen the top.

Finishing Touches:

  1. Sprinkle the crushed oreos at the top of the cream cheese mixture.
  2. Refrigerate the completed product for 3-4 hours.
  3. Serve and enjoy!
